Neopariés® Crystallized Glass Ceramic Provides a Beautiful, Solid Alternative to Stone in Home Kitchens and Baths
Snoqualmie, Wash. Homebuilders and homeowners looking for a durable and beautiful alternate to natural stone are discovering the benefits of Neopariésâ and Neopariésâ LT crystallized glass ceramic for counters, cabinets, tabletops and wall panels. Offered by Technical Glass Products (TGP), Neopariés is lighter and stronger than granite and more resistant to scratching and abrasion than marble. Neopariés LT is a sheet glass product that is adaptable to a wide range of uses.
Neopariés and Neopariés LT are available in a variety of colors, including white, and provide a consistent, continuous color without the veining or streaking common in other alternatives. The materials provide a highly polished, modern appearance that reflects light brilliantly, helping create a bright, clean and sophisticated look in the home.
Both products are also non-porous and not subject to penetration by many staining substances. They are more resistant to acids, alkalis, oils and other chemical substances than either marble or granite, making them ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms. The unique, “wipe clean” composition of Neopariés and Neopariés LT ensures that the surface and physical properties of the materials do not degrade, even after years of use.
Additionally, Neopariés and Neopariés LT can be formed into curved panels for columns and flowing wall and cabinet designs where right angles are not desirable. With greater flexural strength, they also can be fabricated into thinner panels than natural stone (Neopariés is typically 5/8” thick and Neopariés LT is 5/16” thick).
Developed by Nippon Electric Glass, Neopariés and Neopariés LT are made using a highly specialized technique of glass crystallization. This process produces tiny needle-shaped crystals that give Neopariés its soft color and marble-like texture. Neopariés LT possesses a uniform surface appearance similar to porcelain tile.
