To create a curved entryway pavilion that acts as a counterpoint to the vertical subway station and helps introduce light deep into its underground concourse, the design team utilized an extensive roof structure shaped like a saddle. It integrates with the SteelBuilt Curtainwall Infinity™ System from Technical Glass Products configured to segment around the exterior at varying heights at the two open ends of the saddle. In addition, an interior elevator shaft is matched in stainless steel using TGP’s Fireframes® Curtainwall Series fire-rated frames.
